The Kindergarten Proficiency Test is designed to evaluate students’ understanding and fluency with the Touch Math method. This end-of-year assessment is based on the standards and content presented throughout the year and is designed to provide a thorough evaluation of students’ math skills. The test includes multiple formats to allow all students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. These formats include Write, Ring, Match, Color, and Draw, giving students a range of ways to show what they know. The test also includes sections for assessing fluency with TouchPoints and fluency without TouchPoints, allowing teachers to measure students’ progress in using the Touch Math method. Guided teacher directions and an answer key are included to help teachers administer and score the test accurately. A class record sheet is also provided to help teachers keep track of each student’s performance and identify areas where additional instruction may be necessary.
